Adaept Engineering

Adaept Engineering GmbH is a Rostock-based engineering company specialising in industrial communication and Industrial IoT. Founded in 2024 as a spin-off from the University of Rostock's Institute of Applied Microelectronics and Computer Engineering (IMD), Adaept builds the data infrastructure that connects machines — from fieldbus signal to ready-to-use application. Our specialised tech stack and expertise in information modelling allow us to integrate standards-compliant OPC UA even on highly constrained embedded devices, closing the gap between modern IIoT standards and legacy plant equipment. We are a member of the OPC Foundation, an official umati partner, and contribute to the VDMA Companion Specifications for Cranes & Hoists and Robotics. Building on a decade of joint research in projects such as OPTIMUM and SUSTAIN, we bring deep expertise in OPC UA, TSN, distributed control, and IIoT security to VICTOR6G.

Within the VICTOR6G project, IKADO develops and evaluates advanced 6G communication technologies using autonomous drones as a central platform for real-time data acquisition. The drones are equipped to capture environmental, network, and system data in dynamic industrial environments, which are processed in real time and integrated into digital twins. By enabling low-latency communication, distributed processing, and seamless interaction between airborne sensor systems and ground-based infrastructure, IKADO contributes to the development of resilient and high-performance 6G-enabled monitoring and inspection systems.

RWTH Aachen University

RWTH Aachen University, one of Germany's 11 Universities of Excellence and coordinator of the BMBF-funded 6GEM+ Research Transfer Hub, conducts cutting-edge research on AI-native 6G communication technologies, including wireless PHY signal processing, radio resource management, and programmable multiband (FR1–FR3) wireless communication systems. RWTH validates advanced 6G solutions through laboratory demonstrations and large-scale experimental testbeds targeting key applications such as industrial automation, smart mobility, and immersive communications.

TU Dortmund University

The Chair of Communication Networks at TU Dortmund University conducts research and development in the quantitative performance evaluation of future 5G/6G mobile networks and mission-critical services for public safety and cyber-physical systems. The chair operates extensive mobile communication infrastructures, including both open-source and commercial platforms, and has many years of experience running licensed research networks. Through major contributions to numerous 5G initiatives, the 6G research hub 6GEM, and the flagship project 6G-ANNA, the team contributes state-of-the-art expertise in mobile communications research. Within VICTOR6G, the chair focuses on network measurement, performance evaluation, and the development of real-time monitoring solutions to collect, analyze, and utilize data for the network digital twin and advanced optimization strategies.

TUD Dresden University of Technology

The Deutsche Telekom Chair of Communication Networks at TUD Dresden University of Technology focuses on future communication systems. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h. c. Frank H. P. Fitzek, the chair works on topics such as 5G and 6G networks, quantum and molecular communication, new computing concepts, human–machine interaction, and information theory. Together with partners from research and industry, the chair develops ideas and practical solutions for future networks and digital services.
